2000 miles of of of whiney ass babies who should run more FU

Spring Racing (Read 132 times)

If I'd actually been training instead of drinking I'd say we could run this together since I'm registered for Vermont City.

Alas, I am turning into a fat out of shape drunk slob

It's not even March, my man. For what it's worth, I'd really love for us to be in the same shape on race day.

MTA: Plus, Mikey might be coming down to visit colleges.  Do you really wanna look like a slob when he comes to examine the troops? I don't.

Just an FYI, there was a guy last year that did 84 miles in the 12 hour.  (about 8:30 avg) but he started much faster and then slowed down.  Not sure how fast you plan on running but it is not like you would have to dodge around all these walkers.  Ultra runners do run these loop races.

You are still welcome to come out and get in a run.  See what it is like and get a flavor of a timed race.

Thank you very much Rick.  Trying to extricate myself to come hang out for the NJ Ultra Festival.

We shall see Nads..right now I need to try to get into some sort of shape as to not die at Boston..less than 7 weeks and I've barely run since Monkey

        Marathon Maniac #957

So why Xenia and the derby?  For me Xenia is a warmup run and the derby is to get the lovely state of Kentucky checked off the 50 states list.

Pretty much the same.  I live in Miamisburg, so Xenia is hard to resist every year ($25 - what's not to love).  Usually I do the marathon but thought I would do the HM this year at MP and then run 7-8 miles after to make my last LR before Derby.  Derby is for the state, a new course, and the party, as 5 of us are renting a penthouse in downtown Louisville and plan to have a great weekend of it.

You're in Mason - ever do any of the trail ultras around here?  Another Dam 50K, Tie Dye 32-miler, Germantown 50K, Stone Steps 50K - all of them $25 early bird, beautiful courses, well run.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Gee Thanks.  However, a stalkers job is to follow someone without them noticing.

I happen to be something of a stalker aficionado.   What you're describing is a "ninja".  A stalker has to be noticed to some extent -- you can't creep anyone out by being invisible.

Holly, $25 is a really good price.  I just wish more people were running it.  Once you get away from the 1/2 marathoner's it gets pretty lonely out there.    Sounds like you will be having big fun in KY.

Clive:  Dude your right.  My bad.  I stand corrected.  I will leave this area of expertise to you and IIlene in the future.
