You'll ruin your knees!

When you're well into a good run and everything's clickin' so you pick it up a notch...ahhhhh a well oiled machine...it's subtle at first, feels a little loose, ignore it..then the sting of that little plastic thingie on the end of your shoelace slaps the opposite leg and you have to stop, bend over and tie it back...you really hate to stop, but ooooooohhh, what a rush you get from bending over to retie the lace and all the blood rushes to your head! Oh, is that just me? Lynn B

      Nope. I just keep running.
I don't think I've ever stopped to tie my shoe. If did it was a long time ago and I've forgotten.

        Runners run.

I know, double knotting, but then there'd be no re-tying rush!

I never have to untie or tie my sneakers at this point, they slip right on and off. If I mess with them at all they don't feel right. The laces are the new wavy laces and they never come undone on their own. I dropped a tissue during my race this past Saturday...there were people behind me and I didn't want to stop and cause an "accident", or slow someone down, so I just left it there. I figured the first rain and it would be gone. Roll eyes
Its like I was jinxed. Set out this morning for an easy 10 miles. I had not gone a quarter mile and there it was. Sheesh. My left shoelace was tied far too tight and was starting to hurt. So I stopped. Leaned over. And untied/retied my shoelace. Dang.

Yeah, mine stayed tied, too (is it tied or tyed?)...no rush for me today. I was so beat from the week's training I had all I could do to keep running. 40 miles scheduled for this weekend, this is going to hurt! Steve
