That was definitely race report worthy. The write up.

I ran 44:21, I wonder what my chances of getting the eightball are this week?
Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

4:58.94. First track race in 25 years--holy shit that was awesome.
Awesome, indeed! And an awesome race report, as well.
It should be mathematical, but it's not.
Mile is such a cool distance, especially in that kind of setting where you're definitely going to get an honest to goodness Race. Nice work Mikey.
But Och! I backward cast my e'e, On prospects drear! An' forward, tho' I canna see, I guess an' fear!
Awesome race, awesome write-up!
Fast is better than long

What in the Jehu?
If my throat hadn't been so sore I might have yelled out the window at people on the street, "Hey, I just ran a sub-five-minute mile, what did YOU do this morning??"
+1 - Congrats again Mikey! You are a lightening bolt. I submit !!
I ran a Jumpin Jack Frost 5K - didn't enter it for the racing thread cause wasn't sure I'd run it, but what the heck. I couldn't resist clear roads and hot cocoa with a free mug. I had low expectations as I'm still training old and slow. Luckily for me, being taunted by a 20 year old, Athena built gal who tried to run me in the ground was just the motivation I needed. Finished 3rd place female, 1st masters. Still felt old and slow, but :26 second improvement from my turkey day 5K (21:18). Work in progress...
Awesome job, Willie MN!
Good for you Willie!
I know this will shock you all, but CliveF gets only an honorable mention for his stellar PR, and AmoresPerros baffles us again with his unique approach to racing, but our own dreamy deity mikeymike gets this week's imaginary stupid fucking cartoon for his awe inspiring mile! Congratulations!

Looks like Ilene already picked it up, but to make it official ... 19:24, PR by 4sec in crappy cold-n-windy conditions. Tried to go out at 19-flat pace, which didn't last long at all. Just raced from there, although I was in no-man's land and it kinda morphed into time-trialing. Pushed a little more than I thought prudent, but still not as much as I should've. (There's a lesson in there somewhere.)
Oops -- I didn't see you'd already posted the SFEB allocation. I should read to the end before posting. (And I should read mikeymike's track recap again before racing.)
