yes but the Inner Harbor is not really representative of Baltimore. there's like a 5-mile radius around the inner harbor that is... well, much more interesting in terms of crime. i mean, it ain't NYC or anything, but it has it's moments.

Yeah, but the last time I was there I thought 5 miles was running long. So there's that and I think most of NYC is safe but then again, I only travel to Manhatten and Brooklyn.
Now Detroit. That place scares the hell out of me.

Baltimore is the sketchiest city I've ever been to in the US. It is the only city I've never been willing to run in. Definitely dangerous. Of all my friends that have lived there (5 or 6) only one was not help up at gun point. At one show a highjacked city bus tailed by 6 police cars drove past the club we were playing at.
