You're going to love Scranton. It's no Roanoke or anything, but it's OK.

When you get settled in, go out and see my nephews' band, Cabinet.

    is your nephew single?

There're actually two of them in the band. One's getting married soon; the other is single but maybe has a girlfriend now.

This is weak info, I know, but I never wanted to be a matchmaker.

Hey tho, here are some local running links:

yes but the Inner Harbor is not really representative of Baltimore. Smile there's like a 5-mile radius around the inner harbor that is... well, much more interesting in terms of crime.

i mean, it ain't NYC or anything, but it has it's moments.

Yeah, but the last time I was there I thought 5 miles was running long. So there's that and I think most of NYC is safe but then again, I only travel to Manhatten and Brooklyn.

Now Detroit. That place scares the hell out of me.

I've traveled all over the country with my acid punk monkey band, and I can tell you that NYC is totally safe. Sure, there are rough spots, some parts of Brooklyn can be sketchy late at night and south bronx leaves something to be desired, but truly, I've never felt remotely threatened there.

Baltimore is the sketchiest city I've ever been to in the US. It is the only city I've never been willing to run in. Definitely dangerous. Of all my friends that have lived there (5 or 6) only one was not help up at gun point. At one show a highjacked city bus tailed by 6 police cars drove past the club we were playing at.

It's been a while; glad to see it's still gets such a high recommendation.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
