I should not read this thread. I was almost healed from 2011 Stanley Cup heartbreak.

Only good memory of that final is this.

Slow and steady never wins anything.

Thats kinda funny. And he was, what, a year out of high school st that point?

I'm a little uncomfortable with the proximity of that sign if I'm the dude with the beard [picture left]--or even the kid to the right.

NTTAWWT, in the case of the former.

Aw Christmas, now all I can notice is the enthusiasm of that kid!

I feel like I ruined the internet for today.

My first take is/was that it's fake--the words were photo shopped onto the black poster. Otherwise, yeah, there's a whole lot to be uncomfortable with in that whole scene.

mta: My first take appears to be correct.

I still like the fake one better.

The two teams tied for first place in Hockey East, Providence and Umass-Lowell (yep you read that right) play in the last game of the regular season tonight in Providence.

Since I'll be in Boston anyway, we (Mrs. Goo and yours truly) will be attending Bruins vs. Sabres game on April 17th. (This is a mandatory activity for any Canadian when in NHL city and a game is on).

Advice on wearing a Canucks jersey for the game ?

Isn't that kinda like wearing a Cards hat in while running in Chicago? We all know how that ends.

No. The Cards are actually a rival of the Cubs.

I see no issue with wearing a Canucks jersey. Vancouver has generally only ever brought good things to Boston: Cam Neely and our first Stanley Cup in 40 years.
