Running Websites. (Read 299 times)

I just wanted to throw a couple other running websites out there. I am sure some of you guys if not most are already aware of these... Letsrun.com - the mecca of running message boards (sorry RA). An easy way to follow elite distance and college running ChasingKimbia.com - The site covers the training of an elite group of kenyan marathoners sponsered by NB who are currently ramping up for Boston and Rotterdam. The site has several podcasts of their training runs and recent training in Kenya. While I will never be close to being as fast as these gusy, I love the inside look at their training and it gives me more of a reason to get out the door everyday. Check it out....
Did you happen to catch the runcoachjason.com thread that flared up to 9 pages over the last few days on letsrumble? I actually know--in real life and/or from online/email--several of the participants in that one. That was entertaining, which is really what letsrun is good for most of the time...then out of nowhere you'll get some bonafide running gospel from some actual serious people in this sport.

      Runners run.

I love the chasing kimbia videos. Great stuff. Part of what I appreciate about RA is that it's not Letsrun--the looniness there is fun to watch from a distance, but I don't feel too at home there. There are, however, many nuggets of running wisdom there. And I have to say that I love the430miler.

It's like RWOL forums. There are a few good posters there, but waaaaaay to many trolls. I've seen nastiness, but some of that stuff goes well beyond what should be acceptable behavior. Running Times has some good forums, and the online magazine has some pretty good info.

Everyone who posts at letsrun.com is a 2:20 marathoner. Just ask them. Roll eyes
How To Run a Marathon: Step 1 - start running. There is no Step 2.
Hey Berner! Where have you been?
I totally agree. The people on lets run are even worse elitist pricks then those found here and berner is right, everyone is a sub 2:20 marathon/sub 4 miler. However, once you sift through all the crap though (most of which I look at anyways because it is funny) there is some good stuff there. I like the homepage to with the daily updates on stuff in the running world. Love live the430miler.
