My plan was to shadow the 330 pacer (2:29:27 30K finish) and set a good HM time and then fade or blowup later (my full PR was 3:59 3 months ago). Went mostly according to plan, finished in 2:28:12. That was a surprise... Full log here.

Very detailed write-up. My water experience always goes the same as yours as reported - after spitting it up the first time, I remember that it's either walk or skip for me.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
I also learned something very important in this race. When there's a long line outside the men's room, always ask "Stall or urinal?" After I asked that literally 1/3 of the folks in the line skipped out and followed me!
Fast is better than long
This week we had a lot of great results, kinda status quo for the swamp, keep it up all.
Ilene had some less than favorable conditions to overcome, but put up a respectable 2:11.
WhoDatRunner, missed the goal but turned in a great PR and walkd away with hardware.
Jill took my advice and ran faster and beat her goal, woot!
To me the standouts this week were Nader's 1500 approaching 5 flat and Wing running 14 mins faster than predicted feeling less than optimal heading in.
I really want to give this to Nader, but I think Wing knocked it out of the park.
This weeks MFEB goes to Wing

What in the Jehu?
SELFISH, like you.
Congrats on getting to fondle Pauly's , Wing. Nice running all.
Thanks, dude.
(I am gonna honorably mention Jill, if you don't mind.)
Congrats, Wing!

Wow, thanks all! Not sure what the history of the MFEB is but I'll take it
Not sure of the history? AmoresPerros will be crushed. Are these threads for naught?
Not only did I miss out on that, it seems I have missed out on the boob thread too, darn it...
BTW, my race was only a 30K, not a full marathon, may want to fix that.
I fly.
Congrats wing!
Always a bridesmaid...
Bring it on.
