They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that. "If I am still standing at the end of the race, hit me with a Board and knock me down, because that means I didn't run hard enough" If a lot of people gripped a knife and fork the way they do a golf club, they'd starve to death. "Don't fear moving slowly forward...fear standing still."

Whoops. Yea, I'm racing this Saturday the 13th, not the following week.  Looks like there is a thread for that, just down a ways, gonna go post there.

                Leg 1 - 7.6 miles (Very Hard) - goal sub 1 hour

                Leg 2 - 4.6 miles (Hard) - goal sub 33 minutes

                Leg 3 - 4.3 miles (Moderate) - Goal sub 32 minutes

My mileage has kind of sucked this summer, and I have not raced much, so these goals may be optimistic when you throw in the lack of sleep and fuel that go along with Ragnar...

Ha people are actually running 100 miles this weekend, good luck guys. I might as well post as well, Timberman 1/2 Ironman in Gilford, NH. Last year overall time was 5:27 and run was 1:35, wanna improve both.

If I get my lazy bum moving early enough, I'll run 12K and shoot to kick it in at 46:29 Smile

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Don't worry if you feel somebody grabbing your shirt tail. Just keep running.

Nowhere close to goal of 46:30 in 12k today. Ran 49:32 instead. And, it was a tad short, I think. Phew.

Overall time of 5:06, but the run was 1:37. Hot and humid day and you don't really notice it until you are running. Happy with the results though.

29:41. Drank beer. Met some very very good people. Life is good.
