Halfway through March and 434 for the month, so far. Amazing few weeks there, DB.
How you holding up?
He ran 100+ miles in 3 days.
Amazing.

Feeling decent.
I actually skip a run or 2 if I start feeling too toasty - I skipped Monday morning.
Monday night was my 1st outside long run of the year - Nice, Nice, Nice.
I do believe what keeps most people from running a few more miles is not so much their legs as much as not getting the right Nutrition, Hydration, Electrolytes and Sleep. When I get low on any one of these, I get frazzled quickly.
Of course - Running only 1 speed workout each week - If much easier on the legs than 2-3 or 4. I lookk forward to the 2nd week in April when I add the 2nd speed workout and increase the intensity of the 1st.
It will be interesting to see how this experiment turns out. Will I be better off or worse off for the 24 hour race. You never know unless you try.
I relly hope I can keep at 170+ MPW through April 4th. But if my body demands something different, I will listen.

2012 Goals ~ Mar < 3:00, 1/2M < 1:25, 50k < 5 hours, 24 hour > 145 miles
PS
I have no bad feelings to Scott ... I really want to do the best I can and I hope we both can hit one out of the park.
Okay.
Also, once you've competed for team USA in international competition you are allowed to wear your USA singlet in competition whenever you want from then on (note Meb winning NYC in his USA vest.) If I were DB, I'd wear that thing in every pump-n-munch 5k jog-a-thon for the rest of my life. Just sayin'.
Wowee wow. I'm glad to see you actually had to work to make the USA team.

mr train you are a pain, your words - they make me go insane
they strike my ever-thinking brain like little drops of acid rain

If you cut a Dopplebock, does he bleed? Holy crap, man.
No. But Chuck Norris does.
It's not the heat, it's the stupidity.
When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
Numerology on the occasion of DB's surpassing 2000 for the year...
- 97 days into 2010
- 11 days with no entry
- 21 miles per day average (23.6 not counting days off)
What else can be said?
mileage hound
F-U-C-K.
The mileage is impressive enough (and I've been to 4100). Knowing what's been done on a treadmill.....dude....
I expect some serious ass-kicking on race day. I really don't get ultra running but I'm a fan this time around.
2012 goals: Fastest race times since 2006.
