SELFISH, like you.

Oh, man. The above was written after having been up since 2:45am with about 9 drinks in me at the time. I need some coffee.

Well, since I have a short season this year...

          Bowdoin 5-Way Meet 1/12

          3000

Goal: Top half on my team (We have six runners and I'm seeded 3rd, but 6th is only three seconds back.)

          Break 9:30.

It's at the end of the meet, so lots and lots of sitting around time beforehand. Also, my screenname will probably change because it will no longer be true at the end of the meet...

Actual time: 9:23.97, good for 2nd on the team (the two seniors had tough races) and 7th overall.

Also, I still have the fastest 5K time on the team for this indoor season so far! (Because there was only one guy running the 5K from our team and he had a tough race).

The race itself was really nice. Started out in the barrel, through one lap was at the back of the pack. After that, I just stayed behind teammates until the pace started to slip and then took the lead to hold the pace. One guy managed to hold on for a bit, so that was cool.

Frozen Gnome 50K.  1/13.  Goal finish in the top 3.  Time prediction will be a swag because conditions are probably going to be a mess.  The ground has been frozen since December, but then it thawed yesterday, rained the last two days and is supposed to freeze and snow tonight.  But we'll say 4:35 just for kicks.

1st OA and 4:16:06 finish.  The course seemed a little short (I think there were 5 - 6 mile loops instead of 6.2) but no way would it have taken me 19 minutes.  Course conditions weren't bad, maybe an inch of snow but not too icy, even on the 5th loop.

MTA - time was off.  Should be 4:16:06

            2013 Goals:
            Run  trails.

Happy Birthday, anyway!  Smile  Rest up, you need to recover from that awesome 24 hour race!

                  What in the Jehu?

X- I agree, Disney is a mess.  Last year I paced my wife during the marathon, but I'm glad I wasn't racing it.  I think every 3-5 years they have good conditions, the rest suck.  I think that 1:22:XX is still soft based on your 5K PR, you just need good conditions to kill it...

                    2013 Goals:
                    Run  trails.

Another Disney survivor.  It was warmer than all the past times I've done the race.  (annual tradition)  Actually I think it was my warmest marathon to date.

But somehow I was able to dig down and was able to PR with 3:36:11.  17 minute PR.  Negative splits and my first BQ. Felt very strong last miles.

A BQ has been a monkey on my back for 2 years now, I finally feel like I can breath!

2013 Goals:  Stay healthy and Sub 3:30.  PR HM, 10K, 5K...etc....lose 5 lbs, get Michelle Obama arms.

Shit.  At least it was a "did nothing fatal".  Hope you are ok.

Sorry to hear it.  Rub some dirt on it and shake it off; the NJUF is just 9 weeks away!

Nice run -- do you run for Bowdoin? I used to run in the NESCAC about 15 years ago...

My wild assed guess is WPI.
