daddyo might pop a good one. Give 'em hell, daddyo!

I'm wondering if ,in fact, he did survive?

          25 minutes is the goal

Secondary goal is to eat some wings and snacks and stuff. Not sure if they will have nachos, but I would love to eat some nachos too. Oh, and with some hot sauce. Gotta have some hot sauce. Damn, making myself hungry. Happy New Year!

Current Goals: Have Fun Jog a Lot

Not sure if they will have nachos, but I would love to eat some nachos too.

              Fail.

              17:59.

Garmin went dead so I went out at what I thought was a smooth good pace.  Turned out to be a 5:58.   Able to bring things down to 5:44's and still had a ton in the tank.

22nd OA and no placement in the age group.  Some fast people showed up today.

Maybe I'll figure out how to race these silly shorter races one day.

Good start to 2012 - I already need a new set of goals. Scalped a few M60 names today in a strong 20 mph wind.

Good day today. Beat 5k goal by 1 minute and ran 24:01. Ate some wings and nachos as well. Good stuff. Time for some football.

Done. 1:49:38, including a couple of minutes in a porto-potty's malodorous flotsam. Happy New Year.

Consistently strong showings demand that an Honorable Mention go out to each and every racer this week. You started the racing year off right.

Jeff may very well be correct, and may commence protesting if you like. I have been known ( if asked nicely)  to alter my opinions concerning race results.

Also, there are much more qualified individuals than me to pick the Winner of The Year of the MFing awesome imaginary 8ball. I'll let you guys decide on that one.

My choice for this week was a difficult one until I came upon  ChrisUK's race result . In typical understated British fashion, the guy is amazing.

Eight ball   Nice going Chris !!

                      Happy New Year !!!

Hey Joe - thanks a million for your comments and the accolade. I have now won my last two 10K races with this one being my PB and exactly a minute quicker than the previous. At 61 years I'm still improving and a lot of that is down to the good advice from people on this forum.  I think for older runners the maxim run lots, mostly easy, sometimes hard is particularly true and I look forward to doing just that again this year.

My first Eight ball too. Whoohoo!

A successful and Happy New Year 2012 to all.

Do we have a new lineup for 2012 for running the race threads??

Just thought I would update the thread with this info to go with my Eight ball . My 10K time is currently ranked number 1 in the UK for men's V60.

I know it is still too early in the year to be very meaningful but as I probably will never see this again - I'll take it.
