It might be shameless advertising - But so far it is 1 of 2 products that I found I believe is superior to other choices. The other is the whey protein that I use from ProSource.
PM me if you are interested, now or later -
I might see if I can bring some to Monkey to hand out - But their focus is on ultras right now.

This looks interesting to me. Lately I have been using vanilla Hammer gel, because it's the lowest sodium product I could find. This is even lower.
However, I carry 6 gels' worth in a gel flask, buying the gel in large bottles. That doesn't seem to be an option for Vi gels.

So I assume that these worked well for your race last weekend?
I actually ordered a box right after you posted about them last time. Almost no sodium/caffeine being the appealing point.
The box has yet to arrive so I haven't sampled yet.

Almost no sodium/caffeine being the appealing point.
Why no caffeine? Also, although Noakes doesn't believe sodium is necessary, is it a bad thing during races?
2013 Goals: Run trails.
For me, if I want fuel at a particular point I don't necessarily want sodium and or caffein at that same point if at all.
But sodium and caffein are added to most every thing regardless.
There is the amount of sodium and caffeine needed to aide with digestion (Small amount) - The gels were crafted with an eye to maximize the ease of digestion and consistency of energy.
I think they feel most runners are managing their electrolytes through a different means already. As far as Caffeine ... I was told there are many way to get your jolt of caffeine (Red Bull, 5 hour energy etc). I think this is easier when you have a crew - But I did not miss caffeine Sunday.

"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit. "No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way."”
Try it at monkey ~ if it puts you down, that's OK

I laughed.
Thunder smash!
So did I. Its good to have friends.
Okay, they just arrived.
I had ordered a box of vanilla and they threw in 5 peach cobbler free samples.
To me the taste of each is decent and more importantly much less cloying than GU.
Performance - I'll have to wait to find out about that one

Hmm, that alone might be worth it to me. I don't specially like very sweet foods.

I didn't consume the entire packet. Maybe a third of each of the two flavors. A whole packet multiple times might
be a different animal all together.
