2000 miles of spasmodic fucktardts 20200013

Oh happy day (Read 221 times)

Was it all a dream?

Four new treadmills rolled into the work gym today doubling the number of decent treadmills available (and hopefully halving the time spent waiting for some asshole walking on one of the good treadmills to finish up his/her "workout").   Was even able to talk the tech into disabling the 60min timeout.  Yeah boy.

I'm in the business of misery...

Listen man walking is hard work and definitely requires the best treadmills in the room.

Just wanted to say a 10 mile tempo in 55 mins...nice. Hope all that hard work pays off for you.

        Good for you

Our YMCA  had bought some that went to 15 mph - But they disabled that function, now they only go 12 mph - Not that it really matters for me ... yet.

But often people stop their workout (Each TM has its own TV), stand there and finish watching 10-15 minutes of the TV show they were in the middle of ... come on - Either waddle at your 2.5 mph or get your ass off the damn thing!

Thanks!  Yeah, felt really good to get through the last tempo run of the training cycle yesterday.  Goal MP runs of 10, 11, 15.5, 11, and 10mi over the last five weeks... hopefully it will be enough.  A little help from the marathon gods would be much appreciated as well.

These look like they go to 14mph.  Hopefully they don't disable that... not that I spend much time north of 12mph though.

Yes, the standing on the treadmill watching TV is also annoying (or people that take phone calls and stand on the side of the treadmill with the belt running).  My favorite is probably from back in college when people would take the bus to the gym in order to walk on the treadmill.  You realize if you walked to the gym you'd be done, right?

I wonder if the marathon gods are different in Germany than in the US?  Maybe a promise of drinking 5 or 6 large steins of beer at one sitting will do it?  Or maybe you have to promise to have you and Candice wear traditional german outfits to Oktoberfest ... that and post pictures.
