Blaine Moore (MM#2867)
Result: 1:17:20, a personal worst...but still 2 and a half minutes better than my "A" goal. Only got about 6 and a half of the last 12 miles as part of the ultra challenge, though...got to pretty much the farthest point I could be in while remaining in the park borders from the parking lot, and decided I really didn't want to run anymore. Which ironically got me to pick up the pace, but I went off course to take shorter trails back for a few extra miles. Wound up with around 22 of the 28 miles I'd planned on, took me a bit over 4 hours.
Went home, had a college buddy stop by on his way through the state, and we sat around for 5 hours playing with my daughter and watching the DVRed Olympic Marathon. Couldn't talk about the 10k, though, since I'd already deleted it and he had been camping for 4 days and hadn't seen it yet.

I'm DNS. I actually drove more than halfway there, but was really sleepy, so stopped to take a nap, and napped for 1.5hrs & missed the race. Don't care that much.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Fast is better than long

The goes to drrbradford
There are no HMs this week, but I thought we had another great week of racing.
Let's try it again next week.
LulZ.
Thanks PaulyGram. That 10000 was probably the best race of my life to date and a huge confidence boost. But still just a stepping stone to 29:XX!
Well done to everyone who met their goals this week. The rest of you are bums.
Congrats, drrbradford! I can't comprehend running that fast. As I was reading your report I was thinking it was a 5K. Nope. I'd settle for running the mile at that pace.

Stellar performance and you know it. Now go post an 800m time so I can keep dreaming of what fast is.
But still just a stepping stone to 29:XX!
Top 35 in the UK, keep moving up the list. Mo Farah is only 33 places ahead of you
Found a pic of me at Nationals
Nice shot.
