25:13. Bee sting, butt chafing, nausea, and blisters... none of which usually plague me. Higher elevation than I'm used to as well. Gorgeous course though... I highly recommend. And I LOVED running it unsupported. I got all sorts of crazy looks.
She went at this one with no crew and no pacers. Very cool.

Nice job T-Bone. Must be a very competitive AG.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

You people are very inspiring.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
Ran the team track meet races and did OK. Middle of the pack behind the high school kids and the speeddsters in the group.
Then... the beer mile: Ran it on a XC loop rather than the school track to avoid backlash. Rumor has it the loop was a little longer than a quarter mile, but oh well.
Slam a beer at the horn and off we go. Three of us left the line close together, and ran in a group.
I hit the end of lap one trailing slightly, and took it pretty easy. I was first out of the transition beer slam, and kept waiting for Don (Candice can provide commentary on how vastly superior a runner Don is to me) to pass me back up, but he never did. I was surprised to see him standing there when I came out of the woods at the end of the lap. He had a vomiting episode and a DNF.
I finished beer number 2 and no other runner had reached the transition. Off I went still feeling good, but burping a bit. Ran the loop without company. Hit the transition at about 5 flat. 3rd beer took a little longer, but I was pretty clear of rest of the 3 man field still running.
Up the hill and into the woods, and still feeling good. Not much slowdown. Finish the lap, but did not get a split.
Drink one more beer. Not as fast, but probably 30 seconds. Then run. Still not feeling sick at all, but a little full. Coast the lap and complete it with the soccer player airplane run to to the line for an 11:15 beer mile debut and a 1st place finish. Definitely the only 1st I will ever score against the MN Running Wild runners.
Got a sweet PBR tallboy trophy. I'll post a pic in the BEER thread later.
Oh... I was wearing the FKN SNGLT.
"I aim to misbehave."
Hey, I did my long run yesterday with no crew and no pacers either.
Well, ok, somebody brought the cooler of drinks for me.
And I guess someone paced me.
But, I wasn't going as far as smalcom, see.

Have to love when people run 100 mile races and have mothing to say about it in the log entry.
Okay, so it was a great race. My oldest (13) ran a respectable 28:28 on a twisted ankle.
This was my 7 y.o.'s first 5K and she did awesome. We kept it to a 4:1 run/walk schedule. We did have to stop just after mile one to use the bathroom. But you should have seen her come flying out of the bathroom and up the street yelling "Come on, we're behind now!!" She finished in 37:04 but I figure we spent at least a minute and a half in the bathroom. And the kick she had at the end, and the smile on her face in the pictures made it a perfect day for me.
My son ended up not running because he had his baseball All-star game that morning, so I am on the hunt for a 5K for him in the next few weeks.
Sara - 25:13:37 is pretty freaking amazing. Unsupported? I heart you.
Yeah, no pacer or crew really, except my friend that dropped stopped by 2 aid stations briefly.
How rude of me! It was a small miracle I made it on my flight after being awake 36 hours. I don't even remember updating my log when I got home last night. Ha.

Mad respect for TBone's tri, but yeah this is SFCEB worthy for sure. Hope you recover quickly and well.
