I sense a number of sandbaggers or overachievers were on teh course this week.

Dallas, was tricked into running 9 minutes faster than projected in a 1/2 marathon, Cowboy Up!!

To prove I wasn't sandbagging, here's a picture of me crying for my Mommy early in the race.

    The tangents are moot.

Set the bar low. Crawl under it.

      Fast is better than long

Didn't mean for that to sound like a negative call-out. I was pleased with your zippiness and blame those chatty friends who somehow distract you from realizing you may be running faster than planned.

Also, I may need a tour guide for the weekend of March 9 (Tom King), dust off yer hat n boots.

I expect negative callouts here.  Lots of credit to my chatty friend for my pace.

Tour guide you say?  Done.  We'll see what kind of crew we can assemble for this.

He's still running. He's not one of those wusses who runs little 5K marathons.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

This week the MFEB Eight ball is landing on Gville Kevin. Super strong 5K huge PR, looks like he raced it as well.

                        Nice job Gville!

                          Impressive Gville, congrats!

                            17:04, 2OA

Roads were a bit of a mess (good stretches with about a two inch gray/brown slush), so feet were a bit soaked. Time trail too, as 1OA was 15:56 and 3rd was 19xx.

Ran with no watch, and there were no mile splits, and couldn't see the finish clock with the sun glare. So this was all feel. And the feeling was good. I will take this and then some. Got a little ceramic chili bowl for the effort.

                            Yowzer! Great, great run.

Congrats, too, to those of you who nailed your goals and to the 24-hour chicas on your strong efforts.

                              Nice job Gville!

                              +1

Also, Pauly I'm glad my boy didn't get the FIC8B. There is no way in hell I could ever let him view this cesspool or explain the sheer depravity of the Swamp. It would have scarred him for life.
