No burqa necessary, bikini ready after all; 21 minute kayak loop, 27:31 5k......
Congrats on the quick recovery. Those burqas are overrated, anyway.
Current Goals: Run
Not in Chicago
Nice racing BCR, more than a minute off the old PR - wow.
And Nads with the sub 20, very nice. I believe you now are tied with the fatty formerly known as Mr. Finn, though his was uncertified and doesn't really count.
Kmark - glad to see that you are coming back towards me a bit.
And nice 10k Quint.
Geez, L_Master and runnerclay too.
Nice racing everyone.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.

Hope you're not injured Blaine.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Your RA log indicates it was a big PR?
Speaking of PR's, nice job on your new mile PR on the 16th btw. Also, you have a big red green bar in your log. How'd that 50k go? Did they have snacks, pot-tarts?
MTA: I'm color blind
42:28 after swimming and biking oh and it was 90 degs, stupid
L Train for 8-Ball for taking care of the most important shit a dude can take care of.
Thanks, I should be fine. Just didn't manage the heat as well as last year and had some back spasms come on all of a sudden.
... Sun, run 50K with goal to complete, A+ goal to do another (9mi) loop afterward

32+ miles. But I didn't handle hydration well. Decided to be adventuresome and run up near the front with a friend for the first loop. That was fun but tiring, and I forgot to refill water at least once (one aid station/5 miles) and I'm sure I wasn't drinking enough anyway. Ran alone, slower and tired, the second loop. Bailed and went in to finish after that, to get a time, and then drank a bunch -- lots of water, lots of soda, some gatorade, then rang up some friends and ran back out & met them and ran third loop with them. No extra running afterward - all too tired and sore. I think I've done one 20mi in April, and one 15mi in May, so I'm happy to have this inaugurate me trying to do long runs again.
MTA: And they said the temp went up to 92F. But we were in shade most of the time.
MTA: Plus I forgot to bring bottles for my belt carrier. I dug around in my bag, that morning at the race, and found one, so I just had one 8oz bottle with me. Someone more intelligent might have decided to grab an empty water bottle and fill that and carry it, but fortunately I'm not cursed with such intelligence.

Thursday Night Race. I don't like night races usually because I don't eat right. I am going to try to get it right this time! I am not adjusting my training schedule for this race either so I will be heading into it unrested. If I can pull of 41xx I will be quite happy. Instead ran a 28km trail race on Saturday. Last minute. No prep, no sleep, no dinner the night before, small breakfast and learned another lesson in humbility. Wow.
Great run though. 2 x 14km loop of rocky, hilly, muddy, rooty and slick terrain. Loved it. The 2nd loop not so much. Stupid pacing. Stupid.
Looking forward to doing more trail runs....properly.
Met my goal of finishing Tahoe. 32:27. It really sucks being out there a second day. I don't want to do that next time.
If I ever start thinking that running 100 miles on a trail is a good idea, I Hope I can find my way back to this thread. Congrats!

That's a heck of a lot of running and time on feet. Congratulations.
L_Master for this week. A big PR (even if he thinks the course was short)
