Shit. I missed that...and he was in my wedding. I'm a bad friend.

Congrats on the win!! greaso for Eight ball!

    That is pretty awesome too.

    Fast is better than long

You all keep running like this and Ilene is gonna end up with an ulcer.

Course records, PRs, Wins, BQs, Unlappednesses. This whole thread is win win.

      2013 Goals: 2500 miles / 2:45 marathon? / sub 2 800m / 4:30 mile / sub 16 5K / sub hour 10 miles

Set a man afire and he'll be warm the rest of his life.

      What in the Jehu?

some great racing this week, congratulations to all, especially those PRs (and sub 3s (insert envy emoticon here))!

if anyone writes up a report on tucson, post a link, I'd be interested to read about the race.  its an appealing destination...

3:02:48 with a pit stop at 11ish. Really good day and ran pretty consistent. Sub 3 at Boston. Scully and Bhearn killed it and nice surprise seeing A1. I think Sully introduced himself again to him.

           Way to GO, Bash!

A great day for all of you. Thanks, guys, for the inspiration.

            +1.

5-minute PR, first sub-3. Also Bash 3:30 PR, first BQ. Me... I have been aiming at this ever since Boston '11, and finally got my shot. About damn time. But 3-second PR, 3rd sub-3, doesn't really compare.

Yeah it does.  Look at  your 10K or  1/2 PRs.  Run any performance predictor against those and then tell me your time isn't damn impressive.

            2013 Goals:
            Run  trails.

Ha, that just means I suck at short stuff. I don't like pain. Also, I don't run short stuff enough to have a really good sample (see "I don't like pain"). On the flip side... I'm old. That counts for something.

Dude, define pain. Are you telling me the last few miles of a marathon aren't painful??? Are you made of something different than the rest of us?

Yeah all 3 made their goals--that's a good day. Looking forward to the reports!

So, how many marathons have each of these three run? All of them getting PRs at the same time is huge. Congrats guys.

                    Sub 3 at Boston.

Pacing for 2:59? Jogging the first half 1:30-1:31? If so, I know someone a couple corrals back with that plan.

Of course you could probably go sub 2:55. It's up to you.

Different kind of pain. Different strokes and all that.

                      66 for me today.

"Way to make Borat look overdressed"

Ran 2:58:38 -- a 3-second PR. Garmin said 2:58:44, so I thought I missed it. Damn, that was hard. Gave up on 2:58 at 20 and just tried to hang on for sub-3. Hung out with Bash and Sully afterwards. They did great.

Oh yeah -- this also means I get a seeded entry for Bay to Breakers again next year. Because I'm sure you're all in need of more Bay to Breakers photos.
