SELFISH, like you.
Nice. I've been looking forward to watching this go down. Not all goals were met but everyone had solid race.
George, you nailed it. Nadar, next time don't stop running.
I'm going to miss this thread. I had no plans to run a Fall marathon, especially after the beating I took at Sugarloaf. But Nader started it and Lance jumped in so I went for it. Just want to say thanks guys. It's been fun log stalking and following your training. Giving and getting workout comments, messages and posts. Same goes for Gville Kevin and Stadjak. It's been a fun Fall training and racing season. Really enjoyed meeting up with you guys IRL too. The usual Swamp suspects - you know who you are - were really helpful and entertaining. And sometimes psychotic.
Now back to your regularly scheduled swampage.

What a great running experience. Really happy to meet some Swampers and the Mainer crew. Great guys all.
Spotting a Swamper on the run (Walt) and pushing the pace over 2miles just to say "Hi" made a race of strangers seem very small-town. Always at home, wherever the Swamp is represented. If not for you guys, it would have been a very lonely race/post race for me. Thanks.
2013 Goals: 18:49 5K • 1:25 HM • sub-3 Marathon • run lots of races
Current Status 5/13: challenging my Achilles issue -- building some base
This thread delivered. Good job, guys.
Runners run.
Nice job people. Some really great times. You guys are much smarter than those stupid monkey people and I bet you feel a lot better today then they do :-)
Nads, I don't take a restroom break unless it is very early in the race. Heck I stop drinking 30 minutes before the race in hopes to make sure I do not have to. Hard to get that just right sometimes though. It is funny how you don't realize you have any issues or how easy it is to ignore something until you stop and give yiour muscles a chance to really yell at you. I hate that.

Thanks for the insight, BCR. I am probably laying a little too much blame on a potty break, but your point is well-taken.
Yeah, that was a damn good celebration meal for my 3:08:45. Though, my favorite part was when the guy in front of us asked for cheeze-whiz on the side and the grill-man just looked at him and shook his head slowly, then kept on grill'n.
I remember that guy from a previous trip to Philly. He is about as customer-service oriented as the Soup Nazi. I mean that in the most complimentary way possible.
Had a great time, guys, and not a few good laughs this cycle. Cheers!
First fives miles at 7:15 pace, next 5 at 7:16 pace, next mile in 7:10, stopped to pee, came out with two daggers in my quads, the rest was hard: 4 at 7:23; 2 at 7:43; 1 at 7:57, 1 at 8:06 (hurting!), next at 7:47, last 1.2 at 7:15 pace. Worked hard this cycle, so it's a little tough to have it go down like that. There is a life lesson in there somewhere. Also, Jeff is awesome. The end. Oh 22 minute PR. That is a bright side for sure. Okay, the end

nice job Nads even if it wasn't exactly what you wanted. You went for it, had a few set backs and still managed a huge PR
3:13:48. Chased the 3:15 pace group. Lost them twice due to potty stops. Caught up again at 20. Pulled away atone 23 and dropped everything I had from there.
Hell of a race George!
Back
Awesome work crew.
Thunder smash!
Hard to see how you could be in any way disappointed Nads. You put together a solid race and phenomenal PR.

Nads:
But make sure you don't do anything "new" on race-day. You'll need to train hard . . . and soft stool as well, probably.
It was just a wiz and believe you me if I could have done it discretely while rolling 7:10s I just might have...
I'd get the official nasa version.
If you are gonna be "killing it" might as well do it like a pro.
