        Are you doing it?

Had I qualified for Boston, I would have been skipping through the hills like a crackerjack with you mountain goats or whatever you fancy yourselves. I will be not be doing the marathon or ultra.  Might I show up to help out or see the Thunder? That is another story.

You are going to dress in a sailor outfit?  You'd be cute.

And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

Is this Watchung Winter marathon thingy one of yours???  Hmmmm.....

               yes.

Any other questions or were you just curious?

$25 to run through the woods on a 10K loop as many times as you want on a January day.  We have had sub 20 degree weather with 4-5 inches of snow falling during the day and we have had mid 60s and everyone is hanging out in shorts.

All money goes to charity.  My wife and I pay for all expenses out of our pockets and any money brought in goes directly to the Charity.  There are no shirts or awards.  There will be beer.

This is a solid maybe.  I'm looking for something that weekend....and this is on the list.  What is the loop like?  Surface...not elevation.

half single track winding through the woods, the other half is tiny bit of roads and mostly wide horse paths.

Rick, I think he's wondering about surface in terms of rocks and hidden bumps.

I run there all the time, and Rick's spot on...footing is great for half to 2/3 of the trail (pink loop), and okay for most of the single track.  a few stretches are a little dicey (roots/rocky) and require some attention to footing, but nothing too bad....overall its fine.

It should be a good time, I signed up to do the marathon but plan to take it easy.  let me know if either of you are going, maybe grab a beer after.

                        In for the half.

                          nice.

i might stop short of the full marathon.  starting Pfitz 18/70 the week before.  Week 1 looks easy, but week 2 culminates in 16 mi with 8 @ goal MP...not sure I can pull that off 6 days after a 26 on trails.

Will you be joining us, Mr. Classic?

Still undecided.  Haven't made my plans yet for that weekend, but I'm off and looking.  Will let you know either way.

                              Thunder smash!

FYI, you can sit on my lap afterwards.  There will be (good) beer.
