    wow, thanks guys!

i'd like to dedicate this dubious "win" to race director Hasher Rick, who set this race up as a charity event with all entry fees (plus donations) going to a local school.

his effort was rewarded by repeat visits from the county police, a race course not only covered with ice but also where a local citizen had endeavored to remove 95% of the course markings the night before the race, and at least one participant who vociferously disagreed with their lap count despite the laws of physics.  he handled it all in stride.

      Congrats, lagwagon!

I wonder if it was the same woman as last time. Oh man, the complainers are almost as funny as the people leaning over him, asking for race results while the race is in progress.

        Congrats lagwagon,

I have attended two timed events; FANS and Badgerland Striders. At FANS I vaguely recall people nagging the RD as teh race was going on, even though there where hourly printouts. I understand that in the final hour teh numbers are more critical. But for Badgerland the RD (WG knows the name) was super duper on top of everything and even though the computer monitor went haywire mid race, he was still catering to all the requests from runners "...and how many laps now?...and now?...and now?"

RDs do not have an easy task and kudos to them for suffering our slings and arrows
