This picture just made me crave waffles. Might just have to bust out out the ol' waffle iron tomorrow morning.
Idiot
Agreed on both counts. But Drew, you're a 1:32/20 guy. I feel like you can run under 42 this year. Then again the 10k is like an enigma wrapped in mystery.
You're not wrong, at all. That said, if I'd done any training whatsoever in the last month, I could have gone under 42 easily today. But I'm more than willing to live with the PR achieved on the recent training I've done.
And when I race a 10k again in Sept/Oct, I suspect my current PR will no longer be acceptable.
Weather/woulda/coulda/shouldaneverstoppedtrainingforfourweeks are all lame excuses, but my legs tell me I'm a 1:29/19/40 guy. I just haven't actually, y'know... done it, yet.
Yes, I do "run in this." So should you. The weather is never as bad as it seems from behind your office or car window.

Congratulations Willie - no pressure but now go back to back.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
Thanks all - and to think I suck at pool so its the only I'll manage to hit.
Thanks L - if I smack into the wall heading into Canal Park, I'll think of this exact quote and may be cursing you.
Or thanking...either way if it works I'll take it.
update on bruised heels - right feels good, left still sore. Try treadmill today, if bothersome hit the bike. But feels better after track meet in comparison to past race recoveries. Taking it as a good sign. Too bad Grandma's course isn't made of Mondo...
Was it all a dream?
Congrats Willie! Hope the heels cooperate on Saturday!
I'm in the business of misery...
Horrah, Willie!
Good job, Willie!
