I am already registered for this race.

Not the most beautiful or scenic course, and the weather could be an absolutely nightmare, but it is a good way to stay motivated during the winter months and it is a really cheap race.

I am looking forward to this.

          Come run it, Paulski!

There are a whole 11 confirmed entrants so far, including Jessi Kennedy - the female course record holder and winner for the past two years.

The male and female winners receive a big platter of cookies from a local bakery. Jessi says she'll share with everyone if she wins again.

I do - mostly a virtual friendship though. We became acquainted through the tri forum on RWOL. Now we are just friends through FB, although we did meet in person at the Musselman Half Ironman a few years back. She is a wonderful person, a great cook and an absolute running machine. I cannot say enough nice things about her.

I really look forward to seeing her in February and am also planning on running the Finger Lakes 50K with her (actually far behind her in reality, although she may be doing the 50 miler) in July.

You should definitely follow her advice and sign up for the Winter Marathon. And the Finger Lakes 50K.

I did Musselman in 2010. Hot, humid, and a run course that included running on sidewalks...I do not love running on sidewalks.  Great (and humbling) event though!

I so glad to have read this. I've been looking for a good goal 50k or 50miler to set as a goal for the summmer. This could be he one.

You should go get the clap just so you can give it to her. --beef

Musselman is not a pretty run course - sidewalks, across someone's lawn, up a dirt gravel steep road. It was my first HIM and although I liked the race organization, I did not love the run course. I have not been back since 2009.

If you are still doing HIM races - I absolutely love(!!!) the Tupper Lake Tinman HIM in Tupper Lake, NY. I have done it for the past 2 years and it is such a super race. A great tune-up race for IM Lake Placid as well.

I'm probably still n for the Finger Lakes 50, but I'm scaling my racing back pre-Boston; my hamstring is at its limit. Otherwise I'd be there with you, SB...

I'm happy, hope you're happy too...
