Please dump all your thoughts about religion in this thread.

NB: When making intolerant and misinformed observations about other religions or denominations, please do so in saccharine language that signals tolerance and open-mindedness so that you can beat a hasty retreat into vanilla liberalism if your intolerance is ever questioned.

      Heh.

      Runners run.

I did think it interesting the stock-humility rolled out by personalities that generally express hubris when voicing their opinions.

But at least people are being nice about damning me to hell. Wink

Oh, baby, do you know what that's worth?
Oh, heaven is a place on earth.
They say in heaven love comes first.
We'll make heaven a place on earth.
Oh, heaven is a place on earth.

Samson looked a lot like pro wrestler and former Olympic weightlifter Mark Henry.  And had dreadlocks.  Who knew?

            The tangents are moot.

Set the bar low. Crawl under it.

Quick note to say that I agree with the sentiments you've expressed.  I was raised within a fundamentalist community of dreadlocks and after walking away from the bong for many reasons including ones you've mentioned, I eventually found my way back to Rastafarianism.

I tried watching the subject series, but my dreads were way too long, mon, and I couldn't see the telly.

Finally, I want to commend everyone for the polite discourse on a topic that often brings out strong emotion.

Passion is a rather frightening thing because if you have passion you don't know where it will take you.

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

                I laughed.  Thank you.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Assuming there are other user groups, let me just say, from my perspective, which of course may be wrong, and, also, hence, not the opinion of others, thus.  People who run, but do not aim to run at least 2000 miles a year are really stupid ignorant dumbasses. I do not wish them any pain (short of jumping on a bicycle with no seat), but there is really only one legitimate user group, the one which will not be mentioned by name, as those who Get It already know the name.  I have even nominally joined other user groups and, in the spirit of tolerance and open-mindedness, participated in some of their threads. I found them quaint and pleasant, giving me a little taste of what it's like to be part of a user group bigger than myself.  Having explored these various user groups, it's my humble opinion that there can be only one.
