Thanks very much. Coming from someone that runs as much and as far as you do that means a great deal. thanks!

Hey, those of us playing leap-frog with the bunny gotta stick together! How are you feeling? Have you ever run back to back marathons at this level before? What's next? Lynn B

I've never run two marathons back to back before. I feel pretty good, I'll start running again today. Initially, if I didn't qualify for Boston, I was going to do the Louisville Marathon on the 28th of April. Since I just made it, I'll hold off and run Grandma's in June. I'm also signed up for Chicago in October, Las Vegas in December and the Goofy Challenge in January. We'll see what happens next? How about you?
Mike23, see you in Duluth! Or, more likely, I'll see the back of your shoes Wink What are your travel plans? You may also want to check out this group - http://www.runningahead.com/groups/Granny Sounds like you need a November marathon... Wink
We'll get up there on Friday and stay til Sunday. We stay in the Best Western with the Waterpark for the kids. I just joined that group, I didn't realize it was there. I've only run it once, last year, and really enjoyed it. How about you? Where do you stay?
This will be my third year in a row running Grandma's. Last year we stayed at the Best Western downtown, near the finish. We looked at the one with the waterpark for this year, but it is way expensive. I work for a week or so at a Summer camp in northern Wisconsin, about a 30 minute drive away from Duluth, so I may just come up on Friday for packet pickup and dinner, and again on Saturday early to catch a bus from Duluth. I have a bunch of other friends running, so I may also crash on the floor at one of their hotel rooms. Grandma's is a good run, with great support. Last year it was incredibly hot and humid, but that is atypical. How did you do last year? I came in about 20 minutes behind my goal time. Sheesh.
I missed my goal by about 20 minutes also. I had hoped for 3:30 and came in at 3:48. Maybe conditions will be a little better this year.
Ha! The conditions can't be worse. Have you been to Betty's Pies in Two Harbors? It is a great pie place that also has good food. You can grab a bite there and then drive the course.

Mike23, I'm sorry for the "DOH" in the delay in responding but wow... you deserve a TON of praise. Stop being so humble and post on the "Look What I can Do!" thread. If you don't I'll brag about you for you Big grin okay just kidding but still... here's something to consider... (I'm sooooo not worthy)
running until I hit 1900 miles for the year. whether fast or slow I will just run.
Thanks very much. I really appreciate it. I'm hurting now, though. You guys are blowing by me in the quest for 2000. I tweeked my calf a little in the last race and will have to take it easy for awhile. thanks again and good training.

                        keep running.

You'll be back. I have faith. You're being smart. Two rather long ass races in a row, great times, you deserve to put your feet up and be treated like a King!

I'm tired just thinking about 2 marathons in that span of time. A 10 mile race and a 25k race 3 weeks later is certain to kick my butt! You're amazing! Big grin k
