We started our race 5 years ago. We expected a couple hundred people, and drew more than twice that. We raised $20,000 for the non-profit the first year.
This year, we sold out at 2,000, and raised nearly $100,000.
And with that, we're retiring from race directing. We feel pretty good about where we've taken the event. We've had a ton of great reviews and comments.
But, letting go of it is hard. Letting someone else take over and be responsible for your baby is tough.
Now I need to start another race...
You'll ruin your knees!
I remember when... Wow, what a legacy to leave. Thanks for all your hard work...
RD's are mostly awesome... you are amongst the awesome!

Very cool!
Do you have access to a track? Can you start a series of mile races?
Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

I'm interested in starting a trail race this time around. Nothing ultra, just something creative and interesting. Maybe up, over, and back some of the "mountains" in the national park here in Hot Springs?
Excellent. Maybe like one of those 'Fell' races they do over where Purdey lives.
Uh oh, it looks like a bunch of people jumped the gun!
