You know it could be your allergies.  Have you thought about eating I mean  getting rid of you cat?  I would replace it with a shark with freakin lazer beams if I were you.

Seriously though.  You will be fine.  These phantom injuries always come along.  It is part of the marthon gods duty to give you something new to worry about during tapering even though your really not tapering.

Good luck I am sure you will do great.  All hail the marathon god!

Its actually more along the side of my hip, but high enough to be my kidney.  It is in a very strange place.   So far the cranberry juice isn't helping.

Thanks for the hugs and dips.  Smile

Dopple Bock, ask your sister where you guys are booked.     Lets get together at some point, will you be here by Friday?     I can gather up arc918 and antagonist too.  Big grin

It's above the joint yet hurts when you put weight on it?  That is strange.  I was going to suggest piriformis but that is too high.

hmmm  sounds like the hip pain I used to get regularly.  No one could ever tell me what it was, an acupuncturist helped at one point.

The good news is I had it come back about a week before a goal HM and it hurt during the race but didnt really affect anything and the pain went away after the race, like the race had cured it.   I had it for a couple years where sometimes a hard run would bring it on and it would linger until I ran hard again and that would "cure" it.   I eventually learned to ignore it.

I hope yours is the same as mine!

The swamp is not what it used to be, all these posts and no requests for a photo of Ilene's injury yet so lets be having you as Saint Delia once said.

To make this request seem scientific rather than vouyeristic could you mark a cross on yourself in felt tip so we can see exactly where the pain is?

This injury gives you the chance to use one of my favourite running quotes " I'm suffering from all the symptoms of overtraining but I haven't trained"

If she had chest pain we would have been all over it.  Sorry.

This sounds really good!   I do hope it disappears.  I am not usually prone to phantom pains before a marathon, and this feels very real.    Hopefully It shouldn't stop me from running the race...maybe slow me down though.

Spaniel it is weird cause it is above the joint quite a bit, closer to my waist and the rim top of my pelvis.  Are tendons attached there or anything?

Bearcatrunner...  grrrrrr    Sharks are too tough to raise.  Smile

Thanks for the kisses, jules2
