2000 miles of spasmodic fucktardts 20200013

November 14 through 20 Racing (Read 1510 times)

     Awesome. Ha ha

    Obviously this is the explanation.

      Obviously...heh

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

      break'n three

        1:29:51, first 10k in 43:01, last 5k in 20 flat. 2 hours of sleep.

Nice man! You had a much better day than I!

1:54 for me, not pretty, but at least now I know where I stand and what needs to be done.

Have you qualified for Boston? I want to interview you!

        Message me!

          Very nice. Congrats on sub-90.

          Skooter 2.5

Brutal monkey, though much better than last year. 4:16:21. Was on a pretty good track, but legs locked up at mile 20 and had to run/walk.  Phil Z saved my ass with a salt caplet or else I would have been looking at a 4:30 or worse.

Time to look for a new salt strategy.

Also- Drew, fucking kick ass man. Great job!

            Goals?

            Grasshopper

HHFMM, 26.2, Nash Vegas, under 5:30 (so finish with Ennay)

5:24:06, finished way behind Ennay.  (Nice job, BTW!).  Somehow the misery of the rain, the wind, and the hills just added to the experience.  Had a blast meeting Swampers and other RA 'ers, before, during, and after the race, and drinking Yazoo and eating way too much food.

                  Hey Charlie,

For consistency, just post your results in a new post. That's what everyone else does. The modified posts get lost easily.

                  Cheers,

                  Jeff

                  Swamp Turtle

Here are the results for this week.

Monkey was rainy but it sounds like it was fun for all, except for Candice at mile 19.

There were a couple of Monkey PRs despite the rain, the biggest one belonging to DrewEOB with a 26 minute PR. Bhearn and HappyFeet also had Monkey PRs. Good job escaping the wrath of the HHFMM and not getting carried off by the flying monkeys.

Other notable PRs this week belong to:

Walt, with a 3 minute marathon PR at the Philly Marathon.

Nader, with his first sub 90 half Marathon.

drrbradford, who shaved almost 30 seconds off of his 10k pr

AP, who subtracted 1:26:00 off of last year's 50 mile PR

                    Nemo, witha new 3m PR

This week's fake effen cartoon Eight ball goes to Nader for breaking through the 90 minute HM barrier. Milestones like this deserve to be celebrated, nice work.

                    Cheers.

MTA: fixed drrbradford's result from 5k to 10k

                    We're a fucking stupid-ass, imaginary, Internet team. - DrewEOB

Congrats NADS. That 8) shelf of yours is getting pretty crowded this year. (stupid iPad...don't know how to draw an eight ball)

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

                      break'n three

                        Congrats, Nader!

"Way to make Borat look overdressed"

                          Wow, really?  Thanks, man!

Some 8-balls are just sweeter than others.  All you people ran Monkey, so this is doubly an honor! Hey if it makes you all feel better --Did you ever see that show Herman's Head, where there are people representing aspects of a person's mind?  -- this is what my calf is sayingI mean the fact that you ran a PR at Monkey means you actually went back and ran the Monkey! I raise my glass!

Candice, I canNOT imagine running a 1:30, plus a 1:41, THEN lining up for Monkey.  I don't care about this Traci chick. You da beast.

For real, this week's 8-ball is one of my proudest running achievements, even beyond snatching that one from Abe underscore Mend. I kind of feel bad taking it from my boy Drew, but hey, hard work is it's own reward, Drew. HAHAHA. Please man, don't be like that.

Today, Justin Verlander got the MVP on top of his Cy Young. I can only dream of getting the Thunder 8-ball, too.

Ennay, I hope this doesn't preclude me from getting a very valuable insight: Why do babies make a run for it the second the dirty diaper comes off? It's so freaking funny. Every little thing! Magic! Magic! Magic!

Ben, too bad you didn't post a goal, but hey, you are the undisputed 4-time Monkey King.

Walty, how many times do I have to tell you, man: Lay off the water stops! (laughing, but not audibly).

Bash, after completing an Ironman, including a 3:45 marathon, you could totally rob a few banks, unarmed, once you recover. Don't though.

                          Milktruck say relentless

Blush  I love you Nader!   Congratulations!  Smile

Congrats Nads! That should fill you with confidence for next year's Baystate showdown with L Train. The people want it. They don't know it yet, but they do.

                              I put it under there.

I am the people. What? Well, I believe Riggs put it best: "I AM AMERICA AND SO CAN YOU!"
