BEER ME (Read 3065 times)

What does Tunis make?

    Just don't post baseball stats.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

    Inhale

      Breckenridge Dark Oatmeal Stout.  Mmm....

Yes, I do "run in this."  So should you.  The weather is never as bad as it seems from behind your office or car window.

I have some of this, too.

Bump, just to let Jeff know that there is a beer thread in this hell hole.

            Nice.
Being the day and all I selected Smithwicks for tonight (and started last night). Guinness in a bottle/can just isn't right and Smithwicks bottled does a very decent impression of the real thing.

Picked up another of the $10 pot luck 12 packs tonight.  More Flying Dog, Yards, Troeggs.  And a Chimay Blue.  And a DFH Indian Brown Ale.  And a Lancaster Strawberry Wheat, which I've been wanting to try.  At less than a dollar a bottle these 12 packs rule.

OK.  A couple more that came with this.  Right now I'm drinking a Beerlao Lager.  They make beer in Laos?  Anyway it's OK, in that it's a beer that cost less than a dollar.  Next up is Lagunitas Brown Shugga.  I will report back.

Hard to describe.  Smelled hops when I opened it.  It's an American Brown Ale of some sort.  There is some sweetness there, brown sugar?  Not bad though.  At least it will help me forget the Laos beer.

Brown sugar = white sugar + molasses.  This is why I put molasses in my stout.  Also ~$1 per 12 oz.  Nice!

This is an interesting beer.  It's like, when I opened it, big hop aroma.  Now it sits in the glass, and the sweet smell is coming out instead.  Hops are almost gone.

And yes, at this price point I will be drinking these things almost exclusively.  Even if half of them suck (which is a relative term when applied to beer), I win.

Anyone ever do stout floats with vanilla ice cream?  It's my guilty pleasure.  Great with Youngs Double Chocolate.

A bottle of Dogfish Head 120 minute tonight.

Dude.  I had one on 2/22/2007 at 9:50 PM.
