Wayne MF NJ North Jersey is full dumbasses ("consumers") with disposable income to spend on "gear." MF NNJ DO IT. Lots of yuppie wives who "want really want to get into running."

I'll vouch for this.
Ha.
Regardless of the location, I think you should open a Feet Feet. You still get the franchise association as far as your customers are concerned, but you save on franchise fees.

Huge, huge running community in the DC Metro area. Fleet Feet were here but they've gone. Not sure why.
The process is the goal.
Men heap together the mistakes of their lives, and create a monster they call Destiny.

Aren't you staying in Roanoke?
Not if I'm to open a store.
Thunder smash!
How about Nashua? There is a Runner's Alley in Nashua, Manchester and Portsmouth. I would love another running store to frequent. I always buy something.
I kicked around the Portsmouth idea...my sister-in-law lives there. Not sure it could really support two stores, and I don't know how runner friendly the area is. What's the population of Nashua?
Ummmm...isn't there still Fleet Feet Adams Morgan? (DC)
Nashua is about 80 000. Greater Nashua is about 200 000. That does not include Manchester. l live in one of the smaller towns in between Manchester and Nashua and I shop in either city. The running store in Nashua is hidden at the back of a mini mall and a lot of people do not even realize that it is there. The store in Manchester is closer to me, but looks inconvenient for parking.
Good luck.
Good times never seemed so good.
No Talent Drips
I know a guy in Maine who sells money for money...for just these types of ventures. Keep me posted if you change your mind about Portland.
You should go get the clap just so you can give it to her. --beef
Didn't even know about it. Shows something about their presence and local marketing.
In typical traffic, Adams Morgan is about an hour's drive from much of Northern Virginia (about a million people). I don't know anyone who would consider driving into DC for a pair of shoes.
Aside from the traffic, some of us are still scared.
Well and I'll be honest with ya, NOT my favorite FF location there in AM.
