I see that you and George ignored my question, to the total disregard of my feelings.
I had no idea what hm meant. I thought you were just saying hmmm. Figured it was just Nader being Nader so I left it alone.
Yes.

By the way, nice race Mikey. And everyone else or whatever.
Lots of really awesome racing this week, though I was sorry to see none of the sub-3s quite made it.

Hmm, well, CIM is my goal race this fall, because it is a fast course. But my only two sub-3s so far are at Boston, traditionally not considered a fast course.
People are different, goals are different; whether you're willing to run on a boring course to make an arbitrary time goal depends on how important that time is to you. Where it gets iffy to me is severely net-downhill courses, like St. George. But then, over marathon distance, to have a large net downhill generally means you have some altitude to deal with as well (as is certainly the case at St. George).
But in your case, if you can run 3:00:30 then you can certainly run sub-3.
I was told that I need to find a flat course so that I can get the sub three. I think this course (Mankato) is a course that it can be done on, I just need to run it smart. And why would a person run a course just because its flat or has no personality, just to chase a time.
Umm, I think you just need to avoid racing a half marathon the week before your goal race. Otherwise you would have killed it. I look forward to seeing you kill sub 3 next time.
2013 Goals: Run trails.
I know that the half marathon the week before was not a smart thing. But I am a part of the community that does not fully understand certain things about racing and I feel obligated to run in the race. I understand that many of us have certain courses that we like because they have that certain thing that draws us to them. Any time a big PR happens things elements, training, course variations just come together at that time. I am sure that I will get that sub three time, this was just the second real run at the time goal and will continue on and see how things go.
I am still just a little upset that I came that close and was short. I vented a little here because most of you would understand and would not sugar coat the race and be honest, and maybe a little swampy about it.
Milktruck say relentless
If you want honesty.......that Makato course was probably long (and your garmin short) so you are proabably already sub 3 (just not officially).
Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

Some fabulous racing this week, awesome PRs, goals set high and racing with true heart. Jberger breaks the 20 barrier! Nader keeps ekeing out PRs, AmoresPerros racing all of the time and not only PRs still (at his age!) but wins the race!
But I have to give this weeks imaginary fucking cartoon to that Swamp heartthrob, mikeymike, for his outstanding performance!
Horrah!
The right choice. That was a beastly race. Congrats Mikey!
Not in Chicago
So mikey's gonna win 2 weeks in a row then.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
