It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

                  Three minutes.  Fantastic, Arla.

Even if it was short by a full .10, you still kicked ass in a BIG way.  More than a three minute PR is huge.  Congrats Arla!

And well done on your double Mandy, that's a good week!

What now? Now I get to tell everybody that you kicked my ass.

                          1:31:12 for me

                          Soak that in. Enjoy it.

                          I put it under there.

1:18:08. 6OA. 1AG. EPIC FAIL. Reality check day. I just wasn't in 1:15 shape, and even if I were - it wasn't happening today with the wind. I was good for the first 3 miles (17:04) and then I started struggling. I'd blame the wind, but can I really? Both male and female course records fell.. I actually had moment after the race when I was like, " why am I doing this?". Then I snapped out of it and started thinking about all the work I have to do.

Something is wrong with all of this.

Funny story that I think I've told.  Dan Vassallo (winner with 1:08) gave me my AG award at Wilmington HM last year.  He said something like "didn't I race against you in Springvale last year?"  I said 'it depends on your definition of race".  He was charming though transparent.

Come on, he wins everything, and it's a Feb HM with 20 MPH winds.  Give yourself a break and you had a helluva race as far as I'm concerned,  You were the first person I tried to look up.
