Milktruck say relentless
If you like, you may represent Minnesota! Perhaps someone from the north can help me figure out what the mileage conversion is supposed to be when your foot slides back 10-20% with each step so I can know how far I really ran? We can call it the S.L.O.P (Slippage Loss On Push) factor. Can you also let me know what the conversion (complete with multivariable calculus formula) from running miles to bike miles both in the slush and in the powder. Someone from Wisconsin once said it was: but I don't believe them. Thanks.

We get something like this when there is a lot of loose beach sand on the bike path! No traction and half your stride just slips in place. But it isn't as cold of course.
Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

SELFISH, like you.
Cold isn't a problem but I'm guessing your running wardrobe looks a little different than ours.

You should go get the clap just so you can give it to her. --beef
Do you have an opinion on run skirts?
I suspect you mean on me?
If so, I think they look great from behind.

On me too! We could be twins!
Well it looks like I need to cut my lawn and I'm in Canada so stop complaining.
Slow and steady never wins anything.
I guess I see this whole thread as a veiled threat. All those people up there on the swamp leaderboard who come from frigid places are going to start pulling away with 300+ mile training weeks as soon as the weather warms up.

I see all threads that way. YA!
The Logic of Long Distance
Actually Jeff started the thread and I thought it was just an excuse for him to mention his tempo run in 40 degree temps.
Runners run.
Yes, true.
RA is great. I can make these neat graphs. Yes there is still snow on the ground. Duh!
Long Drawfs Fast
Run until the trail runs out.

I'm in Western Mass. I was post holing in some stuff that was knee-deep yesterday. Now I am just about to head up Mt Greylock and I hear it is even worse.

That's my old stomping grounds! My first backcountry ski was down the backside of Greylock.
I also have one of the fastest times (I believe 3rd or 4th overall) for the Mt. Greylock Road race, 7 miles uphill. I showed up for school one year really fit.
