Eye of Sauron
Glivec, Gleevec, potayto, potahto.
They also pondered something called Etoposide briefly. I was ready to label the treatment sequences starting with "Etoposide I: The Phantom Menace", because that's damn apropos. But I misunderstood and it was never really on the shopping list. Kind of sad, because there is a treasure trove of very dark humor wordplay jokes I can make with star wars references. I shant list them here.
And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.
I haven't read it either, but I am definitely already sick of it.
He sent us an autographed copy via Leah (monkey queen) which we (funny enough) randomly received last night. Both awesome people.
I don't think what he gives us and the other people he coaches one on one is what people believe the method to be. But I don't know, because again, I have not read the book so I don't know what i'm talking about. And I won't read bhearns review because tl;dr. So there.
I'm sick of this thread because Luke is a good coach even though I haven't been the best athlete the past few months. Ben ran a gddmn 2:26 with his help. So carry on, I won't have an opinion again until I read it
How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?
break'n three
Luke 2:26: And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's.
Lord's?
Thou shalt have no other God before me! - Revelations something
Or something.

I don't doubt it.
I used to kinda know a guy who was coached by Pfitz for a while and he used to confirm my suspicions that people focus on and stress over the wrong shit in Pfitz' books too.
Runners run.
Exactly.
They should write books which do stress the important stuff then.

Not if they want to actually sell books they shouldn't. Pfitz reportedly did not want to even put schedules in his his first book but was convinced by his publisher that nobody would buy a running book without schedules.
And "Run a lot, mostly easy, sometimes fast" only takes up one line. Not enough for a book.
HobbyJogger & HobbyRacer
Now that's funny.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Bump.
Still sick of Hansons. Or at least everyplodder's fucked up interpretation of Hansons.
"In it, they’ve thrown out just about every standard of the marathon training program." As in, they invented running more than 3 days a week?
I find it humorous to have this one right under "Explain Hockey to me"

“At 40 to 50 miles a week, I think people are putting their health in jeopardy unless they’re at a higher level,” said Dr. David Webner, director of running medicine at Crozer-Keystone Health System in Pennsylvania. “That’s a lot for the recreational marathoner.”
Dr. Webner recommends that casual marathoners run three days a week, ..."
WTF. Oh, and after training with Hansons, she ran a whopping 4:19. More of an indictment than an endorsement, I'd say.

But "mowing down people in clumps" vindicates Hansons.

On its own I could say it could go either way, but yeah, a whopping 16 minute improvement from a first marathon where she "walked a lot of the last 10 miles" I'd expect to see that kind of an improvement from first to second (in the marathon of the masses - not you people) simply by having it be a second marathon.

Shit as a newbie I improved 25 min and then 15 min on the Hobbyjogger Plan (jog 3 - 4 miles 3 times a week and jog-walk way too far for your experience and weekly mileage on Sunday, you're doing it right if the rest of your Sunday has you confined to couch and beer rest). Right after that I took off another 15 min on the Advanced Hobbyjogger Plan (jog 3 - 6 mi 5 days a week and jog way too far on Sunday). Should I write a book?
