I have a Bib for the St Louis Marathon and Mel's Bib for the Half if any one wants them. You would just need to pay the Xfer fee of 20.00 and have until March 15th. Since my torn Achilles is not going to allow me to run hell I can't walk right now. The one thing I have learned is you can tear a ligament and still run you cannot tear a tendon and HTFU through it. Or at least I can't I keep telling myself I can as with no weight on it over night in the splint I am Ok and after a shower like this morning I was thinking hey my ankle does not hurt maybe I can start to do more maybe I don't need to see the surgeon on April 10th after all. But by 9am i was in pain again. So unless I get miraculous and unexpected or some amazing results from all the different herbal supplements I am trying looks like the Dr might be right and I won't be running until the fall.
"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."
In it for the long run..
So sorry you are going through this. I hope you can be patient (I know how hard that is) and get yourself COMPLETELY healed. Will miss you in St. Louis.
