My running streak hit 3 years yesterday. I want to take a day off but now I cant stop and break the streak. Need help.

When leap year rolls around again, take February 29th off...that day doesn't count against breaking a streak.
Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

My .02? Free yourself.
I had a little baby streak of 65 days going until Monday of this week. If life doesn't force a day off on me, I usually try to take a day off after about a month, just to make sure that a streak doesn't become addictive and counter-productive. This time it had started to become a "thing" to the point where about a week ago I went and put that little streak widget on my summary page and could see that my longest streak ever was 105 days back in like 2009 or 20010. As the streak got into the 60's I started thinking about breaking that 105 day PR...I was starting to exhibit some unhealthy signs.
Then came the blizzard and hours and hours of shoveling.
Then, after the blizzard, I got a cold with a hacking cough and aches all over and no energy at all.
And then I said, "You know what, this is life throwing me a fricken bone here with some really solid reasons to take a day off."
And so I took Monday off. It was a pretty big relief.
To each his own but I know myself, and I know that I need to sometimes save myself from my own borderline OCD.
Runners run.
Not in Chicago
I, too, have run each year for three years.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.

If you're gonna streak, it's important to do some hard, high intensity speedwork (you may want to see the other thread) -- so the POlice can't catch you.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
