How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

    break'n three

This group is about running a lot, ad grinding yourself into a disappointed, sniveling, washed up old has been.

Well dumbass, you could have waited and started running after making old has-been status. So much less work.

Yes - Between work, running and beer drinking there is not time for much else - Except a little crafting for Candice.

When our family downhill skis and we are leaving the hill before closing time - My girls usually complain that they want one more run ... That is good they are still excited about skiing and I usually deny the request, because I want them to long for the the next ski outing.

Last year I ran enough that I pretty much hated it -

This year I want my workouts, weeks, months and the year to be good, but to want a little more ... creating an exciting anticipation of the next apportunity to run.

It is the complete opposite of my training for the last 6-7 years.

We will see how long it lasts ...

Its been a long time since I look forward to a workout, instead of a necissary evil.

I sense good things in this boys near-term future.

                Hopefully a year.

Thanks - I do think "Near" will take 5-8 months to knock all the layers of rust accumulated from ultra running off.

It is a fine line. One thing I've learned during years of competitive running is that you plan long term but look only at your next workout. Don't think about the next day or the next week. Don't even think about afternoon workout during the morning run. All you need to execute is that immediate next run. If you think about the next month and think, wow I need to run 600 miles it would mentally beat you up.

Slow and steady never wins anything.
