Got up coughing up green blobs and almost didn't go. Ran over 48:00 but it was good for #1 in my AG. First AG win for me!

Congrats on AG win with coughing green gobs. Is that a technique that you should post about on some racing thread, so the rest of us can pick up prizes with your cough-up-green-gobs-and-win-technique?

Fairly successful trail race. Ran behind the lead two where I could yell back to them when they asked me questions a couple times, for the first 2/3 anyway (til I lost contact), and in front of a chase pack so they could all follow me.
Still some false turns. The guy in front saw us do a loop he didn't do, so he came back & did it with us and stayed with us instead of jumping back to where he was (maybe he didn't want to confuse anyone by apparently going off-course), and he worked his way back into the lead anyway
We got snowed on, but no accumulation, so no problems driving cars out afterward. So all in all, happy success.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

And nice job all you Goofy bastards.
Great job on the AG win Arlahile!
Eric, those times are amazing for doing the Goofy, especially with a bum knee.
The marathon went great. My knees and achilles were barking at me at the start of the race but as I warmed up the pain went away. The coolest thing for me was that as I kept going I kept getting more amped up and was really enjoying myself. I felt great all the way up to mile 22, when I ran out of steam. I did a lot of experimenting with different gels and chews and pretty much ate and drank the whole race without any problems. I don't think I would have done anything different. This whole experience has been truly amazing and has reminded me how awesome it feels to race.
So my times were 2:32 for the half-marathon on Saturday and 5:20 for today's marathon, both PRs, heh.
Absolute pig of a race due to the conditions (mud, wet chalk and frozen paths and swollen river) but managed 6:15.......damn awesone run when I nearly puked after a 20% incline

Terrific on the AG win!
See, you're doing it wrong. It's green GLOBs. Try to change that and you should be good.
BTW, sounds like a fun day on the trails for you.
Congrats to all the goofy runners!
this week goes to Eric M for a seriously Goofy performance on a dodgy leg. HM to arla.
Thanks Norm for the SF
Goofy was fun, but not sure I'd run it again..although I'd love to have given it a go in shape, healthy and without a 6 week taper
