pulling out the doubles already on only the 6th day...yikes this does not bode well for day 20-something.

What does Tunis make?
I'm tempted to prove it can't be done by trying it myself (and certainly failing).
That, or I'd prove my supreme grasp of logic.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
What was the secret, they wanted to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them was prepared, truly prepared to believe that it had not so much to do with chemicals and zippy mental tricks as with that most unprofound and sometimes heart-rending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottoms of his training shoes. I hadn't realised that walking counted....
Why not? It's not that different from running, and I will probably have to walk within my runs anyway come the end of the month.
My basic theory on this is that I am counting any miles that I measure and travel on foot, running / walking / snowshoeing.
The vast majority will be running. Walking is too time consuming.
Run to Win23 Marathons, 10 Ultras, 16 States (Full List)
How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

Well if walking counts then why not wear a pedometer and count every step you take during the day? That would make this whole endeavor a looot easier.

Well you failed. Walking doesn't count. Looks like you didn't even make the 350 I predicted. Walking...pssshaw.
V2 is dead...there is only Thunder Classic. Same great taste as before.
Do you say "ish!" yet? I've always used that as the mark of a true Minnesoootan.
damned if the occassional "uff-da" doesn't slip out my mouth. sonofabitchin' norsk.
I'm counting airline miles. And the miles I spend on those little moving walkways at airports.
Noooo. The idea isn't to do 3000 miles in one day (flight). It's to do the miles spread across the month...
Course I already gave up on the idea of doing it myself, cause I found out that it is gonna take more miles than fingers and toes, day after day, later on, and that's crazy.....
But he's (gonna be) running at the ultra level, and it's very accepted and normal to have walking be part of that type of long distance running. That's what I think.
If the GPS records them, they count.
Update:
Yesterday, I passed the bunny. But then he passed me back.
Today, I passed the bunny, and don't expect to see him again.
My guess is that this week I'll start making some serious strides on the pages of folks ahead of me on the YTD list now...
Moved from page 5 to page 3 already.
