Damn right you are! Sub 16 for the last 3 miles...smokin'!
Race 1 - Turkey Trot 5K - 19:17 ..I'll take it on that course...About 1:40 improvement from last year... never dug deep or suffered...Saving a little for the 11K on Saturday.
Back-to-back successes! What have you been drinking?
Official times are up! 52:38 and 1st in ag. I'm drinking cabernet right now, Nads!
Chilidogbeagle, you are a rockstar!! That was awesome! Have some wine with me!
Congrats on your amazing race... Bordeaux here! For a poor girl, I feel rich, indeed, these days. The communications director of MCM contacted me 3 days ago to see if they can use my story on their website and print promo material as runner profile for MCM 2012. Feels a bit surreal...
The process is the goal.

Congrats to Ilene!
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Jeff for Congrats speedy!
Hey thanks... it was a good effort at a distance I don't race much, but to my mind not 8-ballsy. I want to save that for FASTER times.

Congrats to all of those who ran races this week.
A huge to Jeff and Ilene for setting a new PRs and getting an AG win and for Charlie for a new 5m PR and a Masters win!
PRs of note this week:
Jeff, besting his 5m PR by 34 seconds.
Ilene, for knocking 1:10 off of her 10k PR.
chilidogbeagle bested her 5k PR by 1:46.
bhearn, subtracted 49 seconds off of last years Boulevard Bolt 5 miler, setting a new PR for that distance.
Charlie, continuing a great season with another PR dropping 1:05 off of his 5m PR.
Also wanted to congratulate PaulyGram for completing the Grand Canyon R2R2R.
This week decision was tough because Ilene, Jeff, and Charlie all had great races. The statistic that stands out the most for me is the fact that within the last 18 months, Ilene has only run 3 out of 26 other races, 10k and under, faster than an 8:30 pace. Congrats on running a great race Ilene, you've earned this weeks .
Great job everyone.
Cheers!
