Ouch. I watched it live on Eurosport here in Spain. He did not look like a world class 400m runner.

That's interesting, though the tone of the article was a little needlessly nasty toward the guy who clearly just had a very bad race. But I'm sure he knew he would be putting himself under the microscope with everything he does coming up to the Olympics. Interesting that tne that weather conditions may affect him much more than able-bodied athletes. Also the fact that despite all the publicity, he just doesn't yet have the times to compete in Beijing. Not quite world-class is right. He's got to make some breakthroughs before the whole debate even becomes relevant.

I was impressed to see a short clip of Nick Symmonds being interviewed on Inside Edition last night. Seems hes in NYC for some kind of event or something. Oh yeah.. and hes shocked at OP.

I just find the whole thing doubly sad.

Sad that Pistorius' anger led to his ruination and the death of his girlfriend. And sad and ironic that the way we at RA are currently dealing with this sad event is by igniting a tired and angry gun control debate.

The only way it makes sense is as a sign of the senselessness of Pistorius' act and of anger in general.
