Dude, if you get #3 you will beat the snot out of #2 no question.

2012 goals:  Fastest race times since 2006.

          Sub 40 10k....that's it

There are a bunch of other things that will come along if I get this but that is the one that gets me out on the roads when it's minus something ridiculous outside.

            Sub 40 10k....that's it.

Me too.  I made the mistake of starting a goal thread and watching everyone else graduate.  Coming back from an injury so I'm thinking sub-20 5k in the spring and sub-40 in the fall.

            Was it all a dream?

Thanks.  I think I'm more confident about #3 though.  I have trouble getting fired up for 5k's and 10k's.  Although maybe if I train specifically for them, it will make some random 5k/10k seem a little more interesting.

I'm in the business of misery...

Train specifically for a 1:10 HM and you won't HAVE to train for the 5K/10K times you list.  They'll just be icing on the cake.

late to the game here but I'll play. In no particular order

                    - 12 months x 250 miles: best year to date is near 2,600. I got a good start to this year and hope to keep it going

                    - MMT 100: not entered this year but I'm already looking to 2011 or the next time I get in

                    - PR in the marathon

                    - at least one longer ultra of 50 miles or more

                    - race 1 mile

                    What does Tunis make?

MMT100 and 1mi race. Nice that you've focused down on specific distances Smile

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

I will admit it was lame as written. I could have said:

"Mile in sub-x: x9."  or, "Mile 1 split of the MMT 100"

                          What does Tunis make?

No, I'm just impressed that you're working both ends of the spectrum at the same time. Go for it.

You can always enter 3 Days at the Fair.  Certified 1 mile course and the event is the same weekend as MMT100.

You could accomplish racing 1 mile, a PR in a marathon (will be a certified distance), running an ultra and also get in 100 miles all in one weekend.

That's too bad the event is the same weekend as MMT.

I was looking over this course map and the right-angle turns was the first thing that caught my attention. Can you provide a report on the flow of the track? Will the turns hinder rhythm?
