Bwah-ha-ha! Mine for three weeks, so my rules. Which are essentially the old Spud rules.
You have to beat your goal to win the 8-ball. Set a tough goal and kick its ass. You aren't winning a racing award (from me) for giving a spectator CPR during a race.
The A1 rule: You must enter to win.
The AP rule: Date, distance, name of the race and goal. I have faith in you, Perry.
Give me a damn goal. Something that looks more like ##:##, and less like, "Well, I've had turf toe all week, so I don't know what to expect, but I wouldn't mind finishing somewhere near my neighbor who raced for University of Alabama back in 1984, and is still strong but has been distracted because his cat was diagnosed with the feline form of crohn's disease last Wednesday".
The Honorable Mention is back.
Don't modify old posts with your results or any change in race plans.

Damn, almost makes me want to race this week! This is fuckin' srs.

But, uh, nothing for me this week.

Uh, oh. This sounds like, hard and stuff.
There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.

If I can run all three of our events tomorrow night (depends how many timers I have and stuff), I'll try to PR all three. I know my 1500 PR (5:00) is soft, and I think my 400 PR may be soft (67) - not really sure, but it is 2 years old. I have no idea about the 100 -- it scares me. If I pull a damn muscle in the 100, I'm not trying to go all out in any more sprints this summer.
I got asked if we can have a long jump, and I got clearance to use the pit, so we'll probably have one later, but probably not tomorrow night. So I hope I don't hurt something in the stupid 100, b/c it's probably all the same muscles in the long jump (which I've never done).
I don't care if I don't meet the rules for the 8-ball.
But If I wear a yellow flower in my hair and lead from the start am I eligible for some other award?
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Hey - turf toe sufferers need lovng too!
Saturday I'm racing http://macklindmile.com/ on the mean streets of the city. Like Bob's race last week it has a few ups and downs, with a net descent.

A worthy goal.
Really, STG should have seen that coming.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
WrigleyGirl has spoken!
Shouldn't there be a 10s net downhill handicap?
In Soviet Russia, Burger eats you!
Here's the plan for STG -
Go out easy the first lap at 57 sec (hold back if needed), then push hard the next two laps and run the next two at 56 each, the third lap will be the hardest and everyone tends to run it too conservatively. Kick hard with about 200 yards to go gor a final lap of 54.
MTA as this is not on a track, never mind
Fast is better than long
I'm sure some of those number could show up in his final time; good luck in London, STG...

I'm running a half marathon on 7/4. Will there be a separate thread for 7/4 races?
