        Goal: > 100K (PR)

On the one hand, this should be a soft goal, as my one previous 12-hour was run in 94°, and this should be much much better. OTOH, that was a flat course, and this loop is a moderately hilly trail. And I haven't run longer than a marathon since that last 12-hour, last June. And I'm still actually really beat up from the Vancouver Marathon. So... we'll see!

Didn't have time to post this before driving out this morning -- trail 5K, goal = beat my previous time at it, 19:39, which was my 5K PR at that time, but was a couple years ago, so I was pretty confident I could do it.

Haven't uploaded my run, and someone else walked away with official results, so I'll have to add time later, but:

I let the lead group go b/c they were going 5:30 pace through the first 400-800m (too fast an opening for me), and then chased my way to the lead group over the next two miles. I made a successful break with a bit under 800 to go -- by 400 to go, I was yelling back at the other two guys ("under 400 to go") instead of yelling forward at them from just behind them -- and neither made a move to catch me, somewhat to my surprise, and a bit to my disappointment. So I got a little trophy.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Congrats AP on the win! And Nader 1st AG!

Didn't make my goal today of 19:10. Ran a 19:32 instead. But, I did run an extra block to ensure the course went the distance.
