Re: the driving thing
There's a great coal fired pizza place a block from Fulton that serves Surley and Harriet. Also a block from my place.
What's with none of these breweries having tap hours except Fulton? Agh.
How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?
break'n three
Surly tours are Saturday anyway. Meh.
Fine. One brewpub Fulton. To be followed by a trip to the pizza place.
Then a place where I can buy Surly cans to go. Got a suggestion? I want a full spread
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
How are you feeling for the 1/2?
Are you and Ben drinking beer post race?
Where and When?
I am running a 3 hour trail run tonight - Not real bright if I want to taper for the 1/2 - But fun anyway.
Looks like Ben is starting @ 6:15 for US champs race - We start @ 6:45 ... I wold think Ben could have went back to the car and got a cooler full of beer to greet us at the finish line with ~ He will have time to kill ...
In case he does not come on - Tell him I am pulling for a break through run for him.
Also - CS - I hope I run a decent race and you kick my ass.

Wait, are y'all meeting for the Fulton tour on Sunday?
If Sunday, then make sure you stock up on Surly on Saturday because MN sucks ass and doesn't have off-sale liquor on Sundays.
I know, uber-lame!!!!
Kara Goucher and Abdi Abdirahman are in the 1/2 - Damn, I wish I was spectating

Where are you driving from on Saturday? Depending on your route to get to Duluth there are probably some options but cannot guarantee that they'll have Surly. Some of the stores out in the sticks don't carry anything but pisswater.
I can get you a mix from a store near my house on Saturday and get the beer to you on Sunday. You can pay me back on Sunday. That way you don't have to screw around with stopping on Saturday. Let me know if you want me to do that. It's no problem for me and gives me an excuse to stock up for my mini fridge.
Furious and Cynicale are IMHO the best. Coffee Bender is very good, but that one is an acquired taste for some.
This was from when she was 13 in 2010
Now she's running up to 55 miles a week and beating runners who've been at it for much longer than she's been alive. It's not that her parents are trying to push her to the next level, it's more that they're trying to bring her along gradually against runners of the same ability level. Mark works as a financial analyst, but also operates a coaching business called Maximum Performance Running and lists Jack Daniels, Joe Vigil, Arthur Lydiard, Bill Squires and Bill Bowerman among his coaching influences.
As she prepares to enter eighth grade this fall, Hadley is a mere 5-foot-2 and 85 pounds. The family has heard the scrutiny about how much is too much for a young runner, but Mark believes his training philosophy -- which stresses fun, very gradual increases in training volume and a limited racing schedule -- off sets burnout, plateaus and negative criticism."We all know that kids at this age are growing and their bodies changing, so I think the key is to be aware of that and recognize it may affect their energy levels, attitude and even form," Mark says. "We stress consistency and taking it very slowly when adding quality or quantity, making proper effort and execution more important than times in workouts. We also limit the amount of racing that she does.
Hadley joined the Community House Middle School track team in the spring and helped them win the conference championship. In an odd but effective arrangement, she would help at practices by leading warm-ups and timing teammates but would bypass training with the team so she could do the workouts her dad prescribed for her later in the day.
She smashed my 5K PR when she was 9.
Apparently she likes the 1/2 Marathon
2012 Results:
May 11th - Right Moves For Youth Twilight 5k - 16:51 - 1st place - (PR)
April 13th - Sea Ray Relays - 10,000 meters - 34:59.38 - 1st place - (PR)
March 18th - NYC Half 2012 - 31st (11th American) - 1:16:46
February 18th - Myrtle Beach Dasani Half Marathon - 1st place- 1:16:41 (PR and course record)
That's crazy fast! On my best day I'm only low 1:17s. She's only going to get faster...scary impressive!!
Was it all a dream?

More like a tour of the beers available at the Fulton taproom. Have you been Don? I went over there before the Twins/Cubs game on Sunday. Basically a large garage with a few TVs and some big windows for viewing the brewing process, but pretty damn awesome nonetheless.
Trent, if you weren't planning on coming into Minneapolis until Sunday, I can stock up on Surly this week and hand it off to you on Sunday.
MTA - Didn't see that Don had offered already... If you want to really stockpile, I can pick up some for you as well.
I'm in the business of misery...
