Wow Tanya, so far it's looking like you may have a pretty good shot at the imaginary cartoon ....
Or you! I still think it would be the essence of swampy to assign yourself the SFCE.
However, I did practice drinking a beer in 55 seconds last night, so it may be some serious competition.
"run" "to" "eat"
was that a litre of beer in less than a minute?

Does it come out of pumps at the service stations down there?
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Maybe this would be as good a weekend as any for my Almost Annual Donning Of the Race Bib, and Then Jogging Half-Heartedly for 5k.
If there's one thing I've learned about living amongst the type A personalities of Washington DC is that there's no greater pleasure than winning things that aren't deserved.
The process is the goal.
Men heap together the mistakes of their lives, and create a monster they call Destiny.
Do it MrH! ....but I will tell you that Tanya has me thinking.......
Do it MrH!
It's an attractive idea, as they are offering "Breakfast Hors d'oeuvres Served on a Silver Platter by Black Tie Catering!"
I like exclamation marks before breakfast. Especially when Served on a Silver Platter.
Since it's on our club championship I might as well have a go at this one tomorrow evening, see if there's any truth to the rumour that people are quicker in the evening.

Same course as my last 5k which I ran in 21:36, which was 31 seconds off my PR. I HIGHLY doubt that I can PR on this course, but fuck it. Let's see what lady luck has in store...

I find that I'm likely to run a self-supported 100 miler off of training 30 miles per week (other htan race weeks) with less than 2 months notice when I've never gone over 50 miles before...
So, this weekend I'm going to "train" for the 100 by running the Mount Agamunticus Western States Commemorative 6 Hour Run. It consists of a 3 mile loop up and down the mountain, and I'd like to run at least 11 loops. I've never been there before so I'm not sure how technical the terrain is or how steep that second mile is. Guess I'll find out.

Goal: 11 Laps / 33 Miles
I'm going to make it even more interesting by doing a night time run on the Pineland Farms trails on Friday night (unless I wind up scheduling an interview for then) and then probably follow it up driving a few hours to a forest I've only been to once and wandering around for 10 or 12 hours by myself...just to see what that's like.

R2E: See how entertaining the shift key can make things?
I find that I'm inclined to break the 10%/40% rules really badly.
