March Napa day confirmed.  Score.  More touristy than the Northwest I'm sure but the airfare and accomodations are on the employer so I'll take what I can get.

Well, sonoma is a 20 minute drive away, so if you're feeling over glitzed, you can pop right over!

2011 Goals: Don't set too many goals, stay healthy, race lots, 2 sub 4 marathons (Derby Fest 3:54:43 and Monkey fail- 4:16:21)

If you go to Healdsburgh I can recommend an 11-mile run in Dry Creek Valley if you want.  Absolutely beautiful.

        That's my favorite Sonoma AVA!

I need to stop looking at this thread.  Skootr just made me google "Sonoma AVA" and now I know there's such a thing as an "American Viticultural Area."  And I hate myself just a little for knowing that.

I like red wine.  It tastes good and stuff.  Expecially with food.

Can't tease us like that.  Please share it, so if any of us happen to be out there this summer, will look it up.

Thanks Mike, I remembered the area to be fairly hilly, but a flat route that's easy to get to.  I might be there this summer on vacation, so will try and run in the area.

Napa.  Saturday.  With the sister-in-law.  I think we have a driver.  Let the games begin!

Beat you to it; I was there yesterday. Sorry, I drank all the wine.

I guess you aren't running here on Sat. Its been a long time since we lived there but Heitz was one of my favorite red vineyards.

Of course, this does not account for hearn drinking it all this weekend. That's something straight out of Strange Brew only sub wine for beer. Eh hoser.

Rough maps of Napa and Sonoma printed.  I'm headed for the airport.  Any last-minute suggestions on wineries to stop at are much appreciated.  We favor places that allow tasting for the purchase of a bottle, free, or a reasonable price.
