FIFY. Even without a taper you should be able to pull off a 6:45 pace.
Name Distance Race Goal Result Comments bhearn marathon Richmond River Run 3:11, win 3:11 the hard way, MP workout: 13 easy (~7:50) + 13.2 @ MP (~6:45). Tiny race; last year's winner was 3:37.
Just checked the forecast... rain, high of 39, and... Winds from the ENE at 20-30 mph. Yeah. WTF. This one may be a DNS.

Positives: Looks like nice weather, flat course, college kids running that didn't make it to their national meet can drag my fat ass along, unplanned mini-taper
Negatives: Last week's training sucked (only one workout, no long run), took a digger on my run tonight, have been eating like a rock star (if that rock star is named Meatloaf), first race of the season
Goal: Sub 17:00, avoid a disaster
There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.

You've certianally covered your bases.
I PR'd 16mi last autumn at 6:45 pace. Not sure that predicts I could hold it another ten miles. I never thought I'd consider a run at 7:00 pace for a whole marathon, but, looking at some of the guys who beat me at distance but with whom I can hang at mid-distance, and noticing they are trying for 6:53 or 7:00, makes me want to try. Monkey see, monkey envy, monkey want to do.
You've certainly covered your bases.
All my bases should belong to me.
