Dec 18 - HUFF 50k Huntington IN.
No clue on a goal since this is my first ultra, its on trails, its supposed to be 20 degrees + wind on Sat, and we just got 20 inches of snow. This fucking thing might take all day.
So soft non HTFU goal is to finish (without frosbite) and enjoy some beers with fellow Swampers.

20 inches?
I'll be there getting lapped by CR. Running only fast enough to stay warmish. First ultra and after a dnf in a shorter race two weeks prior. Right now it looks like 13 and windy at the start.

Yeah that was from my friends in South bend. Seems there's less on the ground near Ft. Wayne. Lake effect I guess. It will still be cold.

You guys should bring your own snow in case there's not enough there. Use a trailer (rent one if you have to).
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
MandyS - 1 mile - Scottish Night of Miles - Wellington, NZ - sub 6mins.
My previous best over 1 mile was 6.41 at this race 3 years ago. I've not tried again since then.
The Night of Miles is a charity event which my club organises every year. The open mile gets about 50 competitors, running between 4.30 and about 9 mins. We also have a mens mile, a womens mile, a junior mile, a walkers mile and a whole lot of "give it a go" type events (sprints, jumps, throws etc).
I'll be running the open mile, along with Santa - who last year managed 5.21 despite the bouncing belly!

A nice easy training run for LTH, eh?
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
I'm in, and this week I'm actually preregistered, so chances of a DNS are slim to none. Usual goal of turning my shins to dust, this time at the Winter Classic 5k in Cambridge on Sunday. Now I just gotta pray to the running gods for good weather.

Lookout MTN 50 trail race.
sub 7 means I am a baddass
finishing means I survived.
sub 8.5 is respectable.
Thanks for reminding me.
Good luck Dawg. We're sending more snow and cold your way from the Midwest.
Yes.
Yes it does

Thanks Norm, wouldn't want to overheat during the race.
