2012 Swamp Race Rankings - Men (Read 3122 times)

Another track result - an obscure distance not commonly raced internationally, but still historically respectable, I like to think:

    distance result
    1 mile 5:16.29

I would also be happy to take up the far tail of the 50K list:

    distance result
    50K (trail) 5:28:36

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

5M - 25:50 (why do tempo workouts for free when you can go out to some obscure little road race and pick up a few quid for doing it?)

1500 - 4:01.51 - Fucking awful. Took an elbow to the nose at the gun and I'd like to use the resulting adrenaline dump as an excuse for my splits (roughly 60, 65, 66, 48). Running another one a week Friday so hopefully should go sub 4.

I was astounded at the 48 final split -- until I realized that that is for 300.

            That's still roughly a closing 64; (~4:17 1600 and ~4:19 mile) color me impressed.

I reject your F U. I will not be ashamed of the product of my hard work and genetics! I didn't mean the time was awful, I would say that it was fairly solid in retrospect but I was looking to being a 3:59 runner by the end of the night and the splits were awful. 64/400 and 48/300 is 4:00 pace. I'll let you lot know if I can stick to that a bit better next Friday. I don't even really like running 1500s but everyone keeps telling me that it'll help with my 5k. None of them seem to understand that every race I do is simply a stepping stone to running a sub 30 10k. That's my only real goal. So 3k/5k is my speed work for that. Although it is nice that I've run a PB in every distance this year except the HM but that's because I've not run one.

Is it really a running race when you give Facebook updates during the race or just a long walk / jog??

Regardless it is a LONG ways to go.

Si es posible, could you guys just post your results in the following format:

                            10,000m

It's an extra step to lift them off the tables.

Another 20 seconds shaved off my PB; I hate this distance but I hope it will help with my 5k.
